Service Agreement Terms

These terms of service govern the relationship between Locksmith Open Now and our customers. By requesting or receiving our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Service Description

Locksmith Open Now provides professional locksmith services including lock installation, repair, rekeying, key duplication, and emergency lockout assistance across New York City.

Residential locksmith services
Commercial locksmith services
Automotive locksmith services
Emergency lockout services
Security system installation

2. Service Availability

Services are available during our posted business hours. Emergency services are available 24/7. Response times may vary based on location and service type.

Standard Hours: 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM daily
Emergency Services: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Response Times: Emergency (30 min), Urgent (2 hours), Scheduled (as arranged)

3. Pricing and Payment

All pricing is provided upfront. Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise arranged.

Payment Terms:

Emergency service call fee: $50
Payment due upon service completion
Accepted payment methods: Cash, credit cards, checks
Late payment fees may apply for commercial accounts
Written estimates provided for work over $200

4. Service Warranties

We provide warranties on materials and workmanship as described below.

Lock Installation Warranty:

48 hours warranty on materials and workmanship
Excludes normal wear and misuse
Covers manufacturer defects
Does not cover damage from forced entry

Service Work Warranty:

48 Hours warranty on locksmith service work
Covers workmanship defects
Excludes problems caused by customer actions
Emergency services have limited warranty

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for certain conditions and access requirements.

Provide accurate service location and access information
Ensure safe working conditions for technicians
Have legal right to authorize work on property
Provide accurate vehicle information for automotive services
Be present for service completion when possible

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Services may be canceled or rescheduled according to the following policy.

Cancellation Terms:

Scheduled services: Cancel up to 2 hours in advance, no charge
Same-day cancellations: May incur service call fee
Emergency services: Cannot be canceled once technician dispatched
Rescheduling: Subject to technician availability

7. Liability Limitations

Our liability is limited as described in our insurance coverage and applicable law.

Locksmith Open Now's liability is limited to the amount paid for services. We are not liable for:

Consequential damages or lost profits
Damage caused by pre-existing conditions
Issues arising from customer misuse
Acts of nature or third-party actions
Loss of keys or access codes after service

8. Dispute Resolution

Disputes are handled through direct communication and, if necessary, appropriate legal channels.

Contact us first to resolve any concerns
We aim to resolve disputes within 30 days
Small claims court available for unresolved disputes
New York State law governs all agreements

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is protected according to our privacy policy and applicable laws.

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee specific outcomes in all situations.

What We Cannot Guarantee:

Success in opening all locks (varies by lock type/condition)
Compatibility with all lock systems

11. Emergency Services

Emergency services have specific terms due to their urgent nature.

Available 24/7 for genuine emergencies
$50 emergency service call fee applies
Response time estimates are approximate
Emergency services cannot be canceled once dispatched
Limited warranty applies to emergency work

12. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
